We are aware that her rudder and its supporting skeg have a rather high moisture content and these two areas have had some remedial treatment for blistering (as interestingly did my own Vancouver). The rest of the hull is copper coated and appears clean and dry.

Broker's Comments
The Vancouver 27 is one of my all time favourite yachts having owned one myself for a number of years (and been smitten by desire for many years previously!).
In fact it was the purchase of my Vancouver which led to my meeting with Mr Mike de Graaf and subsequently our long term friendship and employment. The yacht was designed in Canada to transport a sailing couple, husband and wife, to Australia. So successful was the design that it went into volume production, moulded by Northshore Yachts UK and fitted out by Pheon Yachts. I believe that the one I owned was the last finished by Pheon before Northshore took over the whole process. Truly a 'bomb proof' go anywhere yacht and ideal for a sailing couple with room for one more occasional crew.
The cutter rig is easily managed and is very suitable for short handed long distance sailing and the cockpit is secure and snug. Below decks the standard of joinery is a true delight and our example has been well maintained and displays the hand of a careful owner. Originally these yachts were equipped with a Bukh or Volvo unit but ours has benefitted from a 2010 Beta Marine motor. She is well equipped with radar, windvane steering and the usual basic navaids and she is ashore awaiting a new owner. Perhaps an owner who's eyes stray to the horizon and who's imagination seeks to discover what lies beyond - here's a proper little ship to get you there!
