Broker's Comments
One from the famed drawing board of Reg Freeman, credited with this innovative Lloyd's A1 classification design from the 1960's.
The design of the Seadog is primarily noted for the quality of the solid construction and the success in creating a yacht that both sails well and is capable of long distance passage making but also has the performance of a good displacement motorboat under power.
This model was purchased with thoughts of world cruising in mind, the boat is spec'd well for this with many improvements made over the years. The engine sounds sweet and runs well, the rig, sails and sail covers all appear in a good state of repair.
There is a windvane included (not fitted) as well as a set of beaching legs, easily fitted giving the option to dry out. The windlass is operable from the cockpit and there are two flexi solar panels for additional charging.
A capable blue water cruiser, with plenty of diversity incorporated in to the clever design, this really is a boat that will look after you in a blow. The boat was given a clean bill of health when surveyed in March of this year and is ready to embark on the next adventure.
