Owners Comments:
GRP Hull Carbon Pole
Hull stripped back to the gel coat 3 seasons ago and applied two coats of gelshield
I strip back the anti foul each season and polish the topsides
There is no evidence of the keel moving - there are no cracks where it joins the hull.
The bottom of the keel needs filling.
The rig is removed at least once a year.
The rudder appears in good condition
Bulkheads are all dry and water tight
Hull fittings appear good
Topsides
Deck appears in good condition as you would expect from a 2005 boat
There is evidence of patching around one or two of the stanchions and star crazing on some fittings.
Pole, Mast and boom have been painted white
Four wheeled braked trailer and storage box - used to move the boat to regattas.
Jockey pole to erect mast without a crane
All the equipment you would need to drop the rig and tow the boat away.
Trailer is second hand and seems in good order - Used it to tow the boat several hundred miles - 4 wheeled trailer with brakes, jockey wheel and extension pieces when towing.
Lifting strop and shackle
2 no 2t ratchet straps
Various lengths of rope to tie down
Trailer brake board

Broker's Comments
A fine example of a J-Boats J-80
These boats are great fun to sail - very strong and stiff. They sail to windward very well and is easy to balance with upwind speed of 6kns
Downwind these boats starts to plane with about 16kns of breeze -and can achieve 17-18kns very easily
The rig of the boat means that it can be sailed single handed.
A great fun stable boat owing to its fin keel which is equally at home being raced or used for pleasure.
