Broker's Comments
Designed by Tony Grainger and professionally built in Queensland, Australia by Peter Grout of The Boating Warehouse, this light and strong quality performance sailing boat can reach speeds of over 15 knots. Bluewater ready, she has just completed 2 year family cruise of Australia and Indonesia. This Cat has been well cared for and maintained whilst cruising and appears to be in excellent condition.
Construction.
One piece construction with bulkheads running from hull to hull through the bridgedeck professionally glassed in. Chainplates connected to bulkheads via 10mm L-brackets. Vinylester resins and closed cell foam were used in the construction and extra layer of Kevlar below the waterline. Keels with shoes for easy beaching and well engineered Aluminium crossbeam connected to L-brackets bolted to the bulkheads. High bridgedeck clearance and optimal distance between hulls, makes for efficient fast sailing and no slapping. Large solid bimini running up to the transom with front, side and rear clears gives full weather protection to cockpit.
Engines / Sails.
She is equipped with Mainsail, self-tacking jib and a screecher all reported to be in excellent condition, the jib and screecher are on roller-furlers. The twin 3YM30C Yanmar diesel engines with SD20 saildrives have only done around 1050 Hours.
Accomodation.
The modern light and airy interior has 2 master cabins with ensuite heads and basins, 2 aft double cabins, 1 bathroom with full height shower, basin and head. There is a separate deck shower and salt-water pump in cockpit / sugar-scoop. The Galley is in starboard hull and has 166L of fridge / freezer space, oven and hob, and ample cupboard and counter space. Insect screens on all hatches and portholes. Ample solar power with generator and battery charger as backup. Large fuel tanks (530L) and water tanks (400L), and 100L/h watermaker. Full set of navigation instruments, safety gear and numerous spares and backup systems.
