The Gib'Sea 76 was designed for Gibert Marine by Groupe Graal, and was offered with fin, twin keel or drop keel options. The lift keel version has a centreplate within a fixed shallow stub keel, meaning that she will not dry out level except in soft mud. The plan at left shows the bilge keel version.
She has quite a sporty appearance, with distinctive smoked perspex "wrap-over" side windows, and has a good sailing performance for her size. The design has an open-plan saloon which makes the most of the interior volume, and manages to fit in a usable aft cabin and separate heads into an overall length of under 27 ft.
The design was built from from around 1984 to 1990, as a replacement for the earlier Gib'Sea 77 model. Engines were either an 8 hp outboard, or a 9 hp Volvo 2001 inboard.

The interior has vee-berths right forward in an open plan saloon, and a double in an aft cabin. The saloon settees make another two berths, but the boat was originally marketed as a four-berth boat, and to use her for more is not really practical.

Here we have a modern styled small cruiser from Gib'Sea, before the company was taken over by Dufour. She has an open plan saloon, giving a light and spacious feel to the interior, with a separate double aft cabin and heads compartment. The Gib'Sea 76 is one of the smallest cruisers to have a practical separate double aft cabin. A very good Boat at a very good price!
