Broker's Comments
The Endurance 40 is a capable and elegant, blue water cruiser and liveaboard boat. The exterior is what you would expect of a boat like this, lots of deck space for stowage, moving around and working the boat. The cockpit feels deep and safe with an attractive hardwood finish. After a number of years sailing this version a refit was initiated. Much of the work planned has been completed, although there are some areas to be finished and the work that has been completed looks to be of a diligent and professional standard.
This version has been fitted out internally to create a number of open, comfortable, accommodation spaces. The main companionway steps lead down into an open area which includes the navigation area and folio sized chart table. Further forward is the galley, providing plenty of room for preparing meals for a full crew. Descending a couple of steps further down brings you into a plush and cosy saloon, with seating and storage either side. Leading off and forward, is access to the heads and forward cabin, which has acres of space and plenty of light let in through the hatch. A number of original design blueprints and manuals are also available, and the boat is also and 'Aladdins Cave' of tools and chandlery!
This boat looks to have benefitted from some thoughtful and professionally completed refit work, it now just needs some finalareas to be completed. This boat would be an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for an affordable, serious, bluewater cruiser and or liveaboard that they are able to complete themselves.
