About Constantin Jbeily
I started working with Boatshed Greece in December 2017.
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
I have a bachelor degree in science specialised in "Management and Finance". My experience in yachts started in 1996. By being the SSP (Shore Support Person) of my sailing clients, providing high quality of service focusing mainly on Yacht Documentation, Insurance and Customer Clearance/Support. Many Yacht Masters at that time were inviting me to follow their courses but unfortunately I had no time until 2011, when I followed Sailing courses in open seas, and which I liked a lot.
My business experience all these years, gave me the privilege to work with many yacht owners with different model and types of yachts. It also gave me the opportunity to enrich my knowledge in terms of VAT, yacht registration, legal regulations for sailing a yacht in Greece.
I started my own business as a Free Lancer and Marine Consultant in May 2000. Acted in marine insurance, overseas companies’ formation and boats registration under Greek or Foreign flag, as a pleasure or charter use vessels.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
What I learned all these years is that in life, difficulties will always occurs, it is like the wind! and as a sailor would say: "We can't change the wind, but we can still trim our sails"... in order to continue our voyage. I hope to help potential buyers and sellers to continue their boating journeys.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
The courses lasted around two months on board of a Dheler 36. Sailing filled me with freedom and inspiration but at the same time increased my adrenaline to the maximum. I loved it! I would say that I am more of a sailing yacht type then a motor yacht. Motor yachts are for those who love speed and an extra dose of luxury while sailing yachts are for those who appreciate nature and relaxation. I don't have a yacht of mine, but with every invitation from a friend of mine, I will be the first to get aboard.
What is your most memorable boating experience?
I just love being out on the water to enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
