New distributor for Highfield Boats in France

RCM team takes over Highfield France RCM will take over the distribution of Highfield Boats in France from January 2023

RCM is buying the distribution business for Highfield Boats in France from Groupe YB come 1 January, 2023.

Highfield Boats manufactures recyclable aluminium RIBS and is represented in the French marketplace under the Highfield France banner.

“This agreement with RCM demonstrates our desire to accelerate the development of the Highfield brand in France and to improve the customer experience, which we can count on through the professionalism and expertise of the RCM group,” says Julien Carussi, CEO of Highfield Boats.

“I am enthusiastic and very ambitious about our partnership. The French market is the largest RIB market in the world, and we are determined to become number one there.”

Ronan Chabot, CEO of RCM, adds: “Our respective teams are enthusiasts whose energies and professionalism will unite to continue to further Highfield’s representation in France.”

RCM’s head office is located in Vendée, France. Its marine brands include Azimut and Beneteau, alongside Mercedes Benz, Toyota-Lexus and Porsche. The company currently employs 2,800 staff in France, Belgium and Switzerland.

Highfield France will handle the distribution of Highfield in France and strengthen the presence of RCM in the marine sector.

Heading the management of Highfield France from 1 December is Pascal-Eric Montazel, a former manager of the Mercedes-Benz France network. Montazel ​​joined RCM in 2017 to take over the management of the Toyota-Lexus/Toys Motors brands.

Earlier this year, Highfield Boats released the first images of its brand new production space, which was completed at the end of 2021. The new facility has increased the company’s capacity threefold with an additional 17,000 sq metres.
